Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder Review
I just couldn't wait to share with you this very exciting collaboration between, Victoria Beckham and Estée Lauder. VBxEstéeLauder have come together to create a capsule collection which pays homage to four of Victoria's favourite cities - London, New York, L.A. and Paris. Each look is representative of the city; London - a cool edgy look with intense charcoal-like smokey eyes and nude lips, New York - a modern sophisticated look with luminous skin and glossy lips, L.A. - a bronzey sun-kissed look with golden eyes and Paris - a sophisticated chic look with statement eyes and a red lip.
Victoria says she wanted this makeup collection to make women feel empowered, sexy and confident and I believe she has achieved that with this collection.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few of the products and I have to say the packaging is luxe and opulent - the theme throughout is black and gold and the compacts feel heavy when you hold them. The one thing I was surprised about was the lipstick as it was quite tiny (and not as weighty) when you compared it with others so I was a little disappointed in that respect. But in saying that, I was really happy (overall) with the products - they're highly pigmented, creamy, long-lasting and they wore beautifully.
So let's chat about the products:
Morning Aura Illuminating Cream - a moisturiser and primer in one, it contains micro-pearls to instantly illuminate and brighten your skin which it does. Best applied before your foundation to give you that extra glow. Foundation sits beautifully on top of this cream and makes your skin feel soft and glowy. I've also been dabbing a little bit of the cream on top of my cheekbones when my makeup is done to give off that extra bit of radiance.
Modern Mercury Highlighter - this is unreal and Victoria's favourite - it's highly pigmented so a little goes a long way and you would apply it on the tops of your cheekbones, nose and cupids bow. I've actually been using it as an eyeshadow as well because its super creamy and blends beautifully.
Eye Kajal in 'Black Saffron/Vanille' - a double-ended eyeliner with a black and nude kohl on either side. This eyeliner is extremely soft, creamy and blendable and you can use the black to line your eyes and smudge for that lived-in look and if you want to open up your eyes the nude liner works perfect in your inner water line.
Lip Pencil in 'Victoria' - this one is a beauty because you can wear it on its own or layer a lipstick on top. It's highly pigmented and long-lasting with a creamy yet matte finish. The shade is a nude-brown and is the perfect 90s brown colour.
Lipstick in 'Brazilian Nude' - this is the classic Victoria Beckham beige nude lipstick and is a creme finish - I've been layering this on top of the 'Victoria' lip pencil as well as my pinky nude lip liners.
The collection launched a few weeks ago in select markets but is now readily available to purchase worldwide on the Estée Lauder website and select department stores across the globe. What I will finally add is to be quick because these products are gorg and flying out the door!
