Too Faced - Sweet Peach Palette - Review & Makeover
Who loves peaches? I do! And when Too Faced announced they would be releasing a limited edition eyeshadow palette called 'Sweet Peach' that was dedicated to all things peachy and would smell like one I just had to get my hands on it!
Without doubt, Too Faced do the most pigmented, smooth, blendable and long-lasting shadows on the market - I absolutely love using them and have been a fan for years. If you love chocolatey, bronzed peachy shades than this palette is a must for you - it won’t disappoint, trust me! The palette’s casing is embossed with cute little peaches and includes a how-to glamour guide with three different looks you can create in just three steps.
Let’s talk through the 18 shadows in this palette:
White Peach (creamy/satin) - a gorgeous white pearl
Luscious (shimmer/metallic) - a pinky pearl with gold flecks
Nectar (creamy/shimmer) - a yellow gold
Cobbler (shimmer) - a reddish brown with a bit of bronze
Peaches ’N Cream (matte) - a yellow peach
Georgia (matte) - a peachy orange
Just Peachy (satin/shimmer) - a pinky peach with gold flecks
Bless Her Heart (creamy/shimmer) - an olive-green with brown and gold undertones
Candied Peach (satin/shimmer) - an orange pink with specks of gold
Bellini (creamy/metallic) - a peachy-pink with golden shimmer
Caramelized (creamy/shimmer) - a warm toned browny bronze
Puree (matte) - a medium chocolate brown with a warmer reddish tone
Tempting (satin/shimmer) - a black brown with a little pearl throughout
Charmed, I’m Sure (matte) - a medium brown with a warm undertone
Peach Pit (satin/shimmer) - a dark reddish brown
Delectable (satin/shimmer) - a dark purple with pink glitter throughout
Summer Yum (matte) - a red brown almost terracotta like
Talk Derby To Me (satin/shimmer) - a bluish dark purple with sparkle
For my look, I used a 'MAC 217' and started with 'White Peach' all over my eyelid and then used 'Puree' as the transition colour in the crease and blended it out. I then used 'Summer Yum' on the outer corners to add more depth to the shadow and blended (it’s all about the blending with these colours). On the centre of my eyelid I took the shade, 'Bellini' with my 'Real Techniques Shading Brush' and patted on my eyelid to give a touch of shimmer and then used 'Luscious' in the inner corner of my eyes. I took a chocolate brown kohl eyeliner (something like 'MAC’s Teddy' will work perfect) and worked that across the top of my lid and blended it out with 'Charmed, I’m Sure' using my 'MAC 219' brush. On my lower lash line, I dabbed my 219 brush in 'Puree' and 'Georgia' and created a smokey shadow underneath. I finished the eye look with a couple coats of mascara, et voila - a peachy bronzed makeup look.
If you would like to get your hands on this limited edition palette it will be available from Tuesday 24th May at Mecca Maxima stores or Mecca online - be quick because I’m sure this little peach will be popular with makeup lovers!
