Favourite (March) Things

Hello beauties,

I hope you’ve all been well! :-)

Now you may or may have not noticed that there wasn’t a 'Favourite (February) Things' on the blog and that was because there weren't too many WOW moments I'm afraid to say plus a lot of brands were launching new products which kept me busy with all the travelling around and testing new things.

But I’m glad to say that I’m back now with my 'Favourite (March) Things' and here they are:

Dior Forever Foundation in 020 - this is a re-formulation of Dior’s Forever Foundation and my first time trying any Dior foundation and I have to say this is a gorgeous foundation - where have I been all this time! It is medium to full in coverage and buildable with a matte finish but at the same time it gives your skin a glow. I’ve been applying it either with my fingers, brush or beauty blender depending on the desired effect I was looking to achieve.

LUMA Natural Beauty by Jess Hart 'Illuminating Highlighter' - LUMA is a cosmetics brand created by Australian model, Jessica Hart - the brand is based on all natural products designed to enhance your natural beauty. The Illuminating Highlighter is a cream highlighter that you can apply before or after your foundation on your cheek bones, above or below your brow, on your cupids bow and the bridge of your nose to add that perfect amount of shimmer to your skin. I’ve been using it right after I’ve applied my foundation with my finger and then softening the edges with a beauty blender - I’ve been really loving it and it’s so compact you can carry it around with you for touch ups.

Estée Lauder BRONZE GODDESS Powder Bronzer in '01 Light' - when I met and got my makeup done by Victor Henao, the man behind Kendall Jenner’s makeup looks for Estée Lauder a few weeks ago, I noticed he used this bronzer to create a contour around my eyes as well as to soften and blend out the eyeshadow - a tip he then shared with me. Since picking it up I’ve been doing the same and using it as bronzer across my face as well - I like that it isn’t too orangey or sparkly and distributes the right amount of bronzer on your face.

Rosie for Autograph Eyeshadow Palette in 'Copper Gold Rush' - I’ve been using this palette pretty much everyday this month. You can create both day and night looks and I’ve been using the three brown shades mostly - first applying the golden champagne shade all over my eyelid, then the matte light brown shade in the crease and the dark chocolate brown shade as a liner across the top of my lashes. When I wanted to transition the look into night I would use more of the darker shade in the outer corner for more intensity. I did a review and beauty makeover with more products from this range so go check it out if you fancy.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in ‘Vanilla’ - I had run out of my 'Clarins Instant Light Concealer' so I thought I’d go back to my trusty NARS and gosh I missed it! As the name suggests it's so creamy in texture and it gives you the perfect coverage - conceals darkness underneath your eyes and any redness around your face. The dofer applicator distributes the right amount of product smoothly across your face - I truly love it and works like magic!

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Twist And Spary - I’ve been wearing Coco Mademoiselle for as long as I can remember - it is my favourite scent ever! I always purchase the 50ml perfume bottle because it is smaller and can travel with me but then I was gifted the 'Twist And Spray' version which slips into any size purse and with a simple twist I can spritz myself with this delicious oriental scent made from fresh and vibrant Orange, Jasmine, Rose, Patchouli and Vetiver wherever I go!
