Favourite (August) Things
I can't believe I'm already writing an August favourites post - that means Christmas is only four months away and I'll putting together my 'Favourite (2015) Things' post for you to have a read! But for now lets focus our energies on what I've been enjoying for the month of August :)
Maybelline Master Sculpt Contouring Palette in #02 'Medium Dark' - what an amazing product from Maybelline this is! It's a contour and highlight in one that comes in a smallish compact with a decent mirror and brush that are hidden under the powder. The contour shade reminds me of the Kevyn Aucoin 'The Sculpting Powder' but at a fraction of the cost which is always a good thing! The highlight is ok - I found that I needed to layer it a couple of times to get the desired effect.
Ciaté London x Olivia Palermo Nail Polish in 'Hutch' - red is my go to pedi colour no matter what season we're in and I love Olivia's take on this red which she describes as her 'go to red'. I like the large brush making it easy to apply and what I love most is how quick it dries! I believe this is a limited edition collection so if you can't get your hands on this I would suggest O.P.I.'s 'Big Apple Red' for a similar colour.
Korres Santorini Vine Body Milk - this is a very moisturising cream for your body that smells like you're walking through a vineyard - seriously! I love the fresh and fruity scent and it sinks right into your skin so it doesn't feel heavy or greasy. I picked up the travel size and use it as a hand cream as well.
Lancôme Shine Lover Lipstick in #314 'Spontanee' - I actually picked this up last week after a quick swatch and it's that good that it's already made its way into my favourites. At first glance it appears like a sheer baby pink but it applies as a blue based bubblegum pink that packs a punch. It's creamy, lightweight and pigmented enough to last throughout the day. I'm really impressed with the Shine Lover lipstick collection and will definitely be trying some of the other colours as well.
Maybelline Lip Liner in #20 'Nude' - why has it taken me this long to get my hands on this lip liner from Maybelline? It's very similar to MAC's 'Spice' lip liner and applies nicely onto lips without dragging and it's not drying so you can wear it on it's own which I've been doing and adding a clear lipgloss on top.
